after doing all my houseworks at about 11.30pm, so I sat in front of my hubby laptop hoping that I can update or read some of my friend's blog's update. So upset when the internet line was down until I decided to go to bed.
After about 15 mins struggling to close my eyes, I wake up & re-start the laptop. Again, the internet still slow. Especially when opening blogs. Sigh...
It only can open yahoo, airasia & utusan..
So, Im yahooing some news. Im suddenly interested on this news:
Synchronised swimming-Lights off for Spain
By Emma Graham-Harrison
BEIJING, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Spain’s synchronised swimmers have been banned from wearing a swimsuit with embedded waterproof lights which they had hoped would give an extra sparkle to their Olympic routine.
“It got very sophisticated because obviously the battery doesn’t last long and then we had to look at circuits and interrupters, so we have been working on it around two months with a crack team,” swimmer Andrea Fuentes said.
“It looks a bit like Christmas lights,” added the Spaniard, one half of the team that won silver at the last world championships and are favourites for a medal in Beijing.
Swimming’s world governing body, which sets swimsuit rules for a sport where sequins are almost obligatory, said the lights were an accessory but Fuentes still hoped they might back down.
“This is a very conservative sport … their excuse that is you cannot have accessories on your swimsuit, but they are sewn in. If you use those standards, sequins are a type of accessory.”
Ahahaha.... after reading the news, then my eyes spotted another news, which I think is more funny & sounds so ridiculous....
Table Tennis-Women urged to wear shirts with “curves”
By Simon Rabinovitch
BEIJING, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Table tennis is desperate to attract more viewers and some in the sport believe a simple enough solution exists: get the women to wear skirts and shirts with “curves”.
Half-empty stands for women’s games at the Olympics in China, the country most obsessed with table tennis, reinforce concerns that the sport needs a make-over to shed its fusty image.
Women players mostly wear baggy shorts and shirts unlike their tennis counterparts who dress for comfort as well as style.
“We are trying to push the players to use skirts and also nicer shirts, not the shirts that are made for men, but ones with more curves,” International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) vice president Claude Bergeret said.
One player, Japan’s Naomi Yotsumoto, has taken matters into her own hands. At the Japanese national championships last year, she played in a daring ensemble of her own design: knee socks, a pleated mini-skirt and a shirt that left one shoulder bare. (Editing by Nick Macfie)
So desperate to attract peoples to fill up their half-empty stands!
after being so patient waiting for my blog to refresh, Im googling the Utusan pulak. Im damned agree with the latest news issued on the evening. Yes! They really desperately need it! Im volunteered to offer them the kursus for free, so that they know how to treat the public better, especially the old folks! And somemore, They have to remember whos paying for their salary every month? its all the public money man! same like my salary :-) peace...
Penjawat awam perubatan perlu ada kemahiran insaniah
19/08/2008 4:55pm
```Kita sering mendengar rungutan dan aduan tidak puas hati terhadap perkhidmatan yang diberikan.
``Keadaan ini kerap berlaku disebabkan sikap negatif anggota penjawat awam perubatan yang tiada kemahiran insaniah contohnya termasuk kurang kemahiran komunikasi dan kurang menghormati pesakit,’’ katanya pada perasmian Majlis Konvokesyen Anggota Sains Kesihatan Bersekutu di sini hari ini.
